We focused the questionnaire on wellbeing and used the same statements that OFSTED use during an Inspection. Overall we were very pleased overall to note very high satisfaction levels in response to the statements. Despite the challenging circumstances and all the children (and adults) have gone through since last year’s pupil questionnaire, we were pleased to see that responses were still very positive. We are also pleased to note the low number of pupils that answer “Never/None/Strongly Disagree/Nothing done about bullying” to statements. Class teachers or Senior staff have spoken individually to any child that answered “Never/Strongly Disagree/Not good at resolving bullying” to any of the statements to explore understanding (especially regarding safety/worries) and any actions that need to be taken to resolve this. Several children commented to changes to school meals. Currently, there is not a choice of meals, and the salad bar cannot operate for hygiene reasons. We are currently in discussions with North Tyneside Catering Services regarding the provision of school meals at Marine Park. Current lunch menus can be viewed on the school website in the parentzone section under ‘school meal menus’. The % results have been rounded to the nearest whole number so totals may not always add up to exactly 100. Duplicate questionnaires (filled in more than once by a pupil were also removed). The results of this questionnaire (including pupil and parental comments and responses) and all other “Your Say” exercises are published on the school website. Thank you to the 246 Y1-4 pupils that completed and returned their questionnaire-we appreciate the feedback. |
